Toyota Celica ST185 Monte-Carlo 1992

  • Out-of-Stock
This Toyota Celica ST185 is the competition version of the relatively tame Japanese coupé. With its turbo-equipped four cylinder engine it is nothing short of a war machine. To lead the Toyota into battle, the brand hired the Swedish pilot Ove Andersson. The latter thus became the first private manufacturer to work for a large car company. The Turbo and its 4-wheel drive were first introduced in 1992 in the Monte Carlo Rally. Carlos Sainz, Juha Kankkunen and Didier Auriol were amongst the handful of pilots who win the world championships behind its wheel. 49 units were produced in all for competition between 1992 and 1994.
