Renault AE 500 Magnum Blanc Glacier 1990
Renault Trucks revolutionised the lorry industry back in 1990 with its AE (Magnum) series. Thanks to innovative concepts – some might even say alien concepts – the Magnum changed lorry drivers’ lives. Pneumatically suspended, the cabin was spacious and had a perfectly flat floorboard, a first for its era. Dubbed unanimously the “year 2000 lorry” by the press, the Magnum was given the title of “International Truck of the Year” in 1991. After a number of redesigns, the Magnum finally bowed out in 2013, replaced by the T series.
