July 1998, a month forever etched in the memory of all French people. It was also the release month of the original Citroën Saxo BIC! An unexpected collaboration that brought a new special edition to the small city car. Here, the manufacturer of the iconic pen teams up with one of the stars of its era. While on the outside only a badge indicates that this is a special edition, the interior transports us into a completely different world. The Saxo BIC features very colorful “Tetoubo” upholstery and a… yellow gear knob! The seat belts are all different colors, and the dashboard also displays blue accents. A very colorful model, typical of the 1990s. The 1.4 version offers a touch of sportiness with its 75-horsepower engine and a kit derived from the VTS. The BIC special edition was finally included in the catalog from 1999, a testament to its success.
