Following the example of the Stratos in the 70s, Lancia decided to create a car specifically for rallying in the early 80s. Its name? 037! The car was designed by Pininfarina. With its unique styling, it's instantly recognizable! It was designed with the aim of maximizing efficiency in all areas. The Lancia Rally 037 makes its debut at the 1982 Costa Smeralda Rally, before entering the WRC the following month in Corsica. For the 1983 season, Lancia recruits reigning world champion Walter Röhrl! The German giant adapted very well to his new mount. The 037 scored its first world championship victory with Röhrl in the opening round of the legendary Monte Carlo Rally! The legend of the 037 Gr.B in Martini Racing colors is born!
