Renault Estafette Gendarmerie Bleu Gendarmerie 1973
The Estafette first appeared in October of 1959, and was only retired in 1980, having sold 533 209 units. The swiss army knife of cars, it became the right-hand man for the post-war era. Artisans, shopkeepers, plumbers, tilers, all lines of works profited from its practicality and compact nature. Slowly establishing itself as the French Combi, it came to symbolise that particular era, and made many a constabulary happy (and many a criminal unhappy) in its day.
