Launched in 1992, the BMW M3 E36 had the tough task of succeeding its legendary big sister, the E30. But it succeeded brilliantly. It owes this success to the elements inherited from the first M3: a hyper-sporty coupé with high performance, capable of competing with all the GT cars of the time for a lower price.
