The M5 is based on the fourth generation of the BMW 5 Series (E39). Launched in 1995, this new German sedan is undoubtedly one of the most iconic models of its time. It is therefore not surprising to see a huge appeal for its sporty version, the M5, even though three other generations of the 5 Series have since been marketed. The E39 M5 is assuredly the finest example of the perfect balance between a comfortable and a sporty sedan: in other words, an automotive Yin and Yang. This beast still pushes 400hp thanks to its beautiful atmospheric V8. Here too, we have the right to what was done best in the mid-90s!
