It was during the Geneva Salon of 1969 that Citroen presented the Ami 8. Maintaining the distinctive look of its front bonnet from the Ami 6, the rear would change considerably to introduce a more conventional look, and in doing so announcing the future FS. During the 9 year career, 755.925 units would be produced.
