The 205 is surely the most famous and popular Peugeot model. With more than 5 million units sold, this city car is a real success story that has transcended generations. Some versions are still very popular today, like the GTI. Launched in 1984, the sports version of the 205 quickly managed to win over the outdated Golf Gti, which was less well equipped. This first 205 GTI developed 105hp in the 1.6 version, a real performance for the time on this sort of car! With its widened fenders, its aluminium rims and its red striped and "Gti" and "1.6" logos, it is recognisable at first glance!
