Initially, the “Escort” designation referred to Ford's lower-range models. The Escort later became a complete and distinct car. It was one of the best-sellers of Ford's European branch between the 60s and the late 90s. The XR3i is the sporty version of this third-generation small hatchback. The i stands for engine injection. The XR3i develops 105hp and proudly competes with the other GTi models of the era. Like many Fords, it's an iconic model in the UK!
