The Peugeot 607 was unveiled at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show and replaced the 605 as the top-of-the-range sedan in the Sochaux-based manufacturer's catalog. There were no bugs in the model, which went on sale in May 2000. The mistakes of the 605 were now a thing of the past, and the elegant sedan won over the public. It was also used by officials, ministers and even President Sarkozy in 2007. Phase 2 was launched in Australia in the summer of 2005 with a V6 engine developing 215 horsepower! It accompanied the 607 until it was discontinued in 2011.
