The Volkswagen Vento is the notchback sedan version of the Golf Mk3.

Produced during the 1990s, it is also known as the Jetta in North America. In that market, this model helped Volkswagen turn its sales around. In total, more than two million Jetta III/Vento units were sold worldwide. And like its little sister, the Golf, it also benefited from a sporty variant called the VR6.

The engine, identical to that of the famous compact hatchback, produces 174 horsepower and gives the car an official top speed of 225 km/h. These performances allowed it to compete with its rival of the time, the BMW E36. The Vento VR6 may not be the most famous Volkswagen, but it has managed to earn its place among the brand’s aficionados.
