In the mid-1960s, we observe a renewed interest in the so-called "popular", more rustic cars. This is for the Motor Show in Frankfurt in 1967 that the public discovers the new Citroën Dyane. At its release, it is available in a single engine, the 425 cm3 of the 2CV, slightly modified to give 21 hp. A look largely inspired by that of its big sister, the 2CV, but wanting to be more modern and more luxurious, with taut lines, recessed optics set in chrome, a very distinctive grille and a convertible roof together with a soft-top the same colour as the bodywork regardless of the version. The Dyane obtains a third side window from 1969!
