The Peugeot 405 T16 Pikes Peak is a car unlike any other. Equipped with a 550hp central rear position electric injection and turocompressed engine, which allows amazing acceleraton thanks to an ultra light weight (880kg) and modified aerodynamics with a oversized spoiler and an enormous rear fin to keep the car grounded. In 1988, Ari Vatanen dominated the Pikes Peak race, beating the old record of 63 cents of a second, creating a record time of 10min 47s 220 for an average speed of 110km/h
