The Peugeot 605 SV 24 was, despite it being a rather discreet car, something of a rival to the German-made sedans of the Nineties. The PRV V6 3.0L engine was pushed up to 200 hp, and its overall performances were in a league of their own compared to the best of BMW, Audi and Mercedes at the time. Unfortunately it would quickly see its reputation tarnished shortly after hitting the roads, due to recurring reliability issues.
