Inheriting the mantle of the Peugeot 205 Rallye, the forgotten sibling of the cult 205 GTI, the 106 rallye proudly stands as a reminder of compact sports cars made in Sochaux. Marketed back in 1993, the Rallye has a number sports-related decals, and saw most of its elements of comfort removed to lighten the load of the car. The Mark II benefitted from the redesign of the 106 to evolve substantially. The 1.3L engine was replaced by a 1600cm3 with 103 horsepower that was originally used in the XSi. Available only as a three-door car, its liveries were blue, white, or black.
