Launched in 1968, the Simca 1100 Ti quickly became very popular. Surprisingly, this car almost never made it to launch. It was only due to the insistence of the team of engineers developing the car in secret and who managed to convince the head of Chrysler who had already refused the project the first time around. The Ti, a sports version of the car, first appeared in 1973. With Dunlop tyres, a pair of full-beam lights, and a specific skaï saddlery, it was equipped with a 4 cylinder 1294 cm3 engine of 82 horsepower.
