The Megane RS Trophy of 2018 is the most powerful Megane ever built. To pass the bar of 300 horsepower, it has been equipped with the engine of its Alpine cousin, albeit slightly redesigned. Its horsepower has been increased by 20 and the torque by 20 Nm. The transmission is entrusted to an EDC box with double clutch and 6 speeds. With a top speed of 260 km / h, this Megane does not have much in common with a quiet compact. Compared to the Alpine A110, the RS uses an advanced turbocharger, mounted on ceramic ball bearings that limit friction and reduce the response time of the Turbo.
