In 1988, four years after it was launched, the Renault gifted its Super 5 with a top of the line version, equipped with a four cylinder 1721 cm³ of 90 hp. The Baccara had a distinctive look about it thanks to its unique presentation. The interior was covered with Conolly beige leather, assorted plastic covering, and a slip cover was included on the back-seat. The essential Pioneer sound system was equally an option to include in the car. With electric windows, central-locking system, assisted steering and stunning rims, the Baccara was a must-have for the rich and powerful. It inaugurated a new segment of the market: chic urban cars.
