Nowadays, novel liveries for rally cars during try-outs or for the presentation of a model are too numerous to count. The proof of this statements lies with the striped livery of the Polo R WRC’17 which never saw the light of day. In the 1990s, Renault was a pioneer. During the presentation of the Renault Clio Maxi, a yellow and black “striped” livery (the manufacturer's colours) was used. It was a far cry from the uniform grey that would dress the Clio Maxi afterwards. An original and eye-catching decor that would go down in history.
