Worthy heir to the R5 GT Turbo, Clio 16S or the legendary Clio Williams, the Clio 2 RS Phase I was intended to perpetuate the tradition of sports cars at Renault. It was the second Renault to display the letters "R.S" (for Renault Sport), after the Spider, the Clio 2 was equipped with a 2.0 L atmospheric F4R engine pushing 172hp. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, it landed on our roads the following year.
