“Rallycross isn’t something you tell – it’s something you EXPERIENCE”
The Lohéac Rallycross – one of the most spectacular events of the year!
In 2026, the Lohéac Rallycross will celebrate its 50th anniversary. This motorsport, invented in England in the 1960s, arrived in Brittany a few years later. In fact, it was in the small village of Ille-et-Vilaine that the very first Rallycross race in France was held. Since then, the sport has continued to grow in popularity. In 2013, once again in Lohéac, the first “test” round was held in preparation for the future World Championship. Ken Block and Sébastien Loeb were the guests of honour. The following year, the WorldRX was officially launched, and the French round in Lohéac drew in a massive crowd!
In 2018, with 80,000 spectators, the Lohéac Rallycross became the third-biggest motorsport event in France, right behind the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. And it’s easy to see why: with major stars of the discipline such as Sébastien Loeb, Petter Solberg, Johan Kristoffersson, Niclas Grönholm, and Andreas Bakkerud, and three official manufacturers competing, there was something for everyone!
Since then, the circuit is no longer part of the World Rallycross Championship, but its popularity remains stronger than ever. This year, over 150 competitors (including 35 Supercars – the top category) were on the starting grid. Headliners included Andreas Bakkerud, Klara Andersson (the first official female driver in WorldRX), Yuri Belevskiy, and Patrick O’Donovan (the reigning European Champion).
The OttOmobile experience at Rallycross
Our offices are located just 45 minutes from the circuit, so naturally, some of our team members made the trip to enjoy the show. For those who’ve been before, it’s always a timeless moment – a weekend full of action, surprises, roaring engines, and pure passion! For the OttOmobile staff who were discovering it for the first time, the verdict was simple: “We loved it!”
We’re already looking forward to 2026 – the 50th anniversary of one of the world’s most iconic Rallycross events!
OttOmobile Rallycross Models
Since 2018, we’ve released two Rallycross scale models:
- OT795 – Alpine A110 S Gr.5 Rallycross (999 units, released in 2018): The legendary French hot hatch was driven by Dutch pilot Piet Kruythof. Competing in the European Championship with the Vialle Autogas team, Piet won his national round in 1977. He became the youngest ever winner of an ERX race in the top category – a record that stood for 34 years…
- OT455 – Peugeot 208 WRX (2500 units, released in 2024): In 2017, Peugeot Sport officially joined the World Rallycross Championship with Timmy Hansen and international star Sébastien Loeb. After a year of learning, Peugeot aimed for the title in 2018. But against the total domination of Volkswagen and Johan Kristoffersson, it was no easy feat. Fortunately, Sébastien Loeb managed to win the Mettet Rallycross (Belgium) behind the wheel of his powerful Peugeot 208 WRX. In the 2018 season, he was the only driver who managed to beat the mighty Kristoffersson – a truly historic model.
